"As a young artist, you search for a subject, everything is a subject, your subject is yourself, your impressions, your emotions in the presence of nature."
-Eugene Delecroix.

I can relate to this quote as a young artist. All artists start off somewhere, and when they do, they search for a subject matter. They look with in themselves first, then they look to others for ideas.

My subject matter arises from my dreams, my photos, and my ideas. My drawings, paintings, and photographs each represent my own style and thoughts towards art. My paintings are very surreal and represent my dreams, while the drawings are mainly models, which I think are very important for a young artist who wants to learn the human form. I like to paint images that evoke mystery and leave the viewer wondering; Why is that? or how is that possible?

I want people to be drawn into my art and feel like it is alive and communicating with them. Art plays a major role in my life, just as I am sure it does with other artist. The ambition really depends on how much the artist is in to his or her work, for me my art is all I think about. Everything to me could be an installation or a good idea for a painting. I do all of my work in a studio I rent and currently I am trying to build a darkroom.

Every artist knows that art is more than just a painting, it is a life-style. A person is born an artist, an individual who can express themselves more easily than others. Whether that expression is in the style of dress, or the way one chooses to style their hair, for me art is all of those things.

I may express my art with a paintbrush or a camera, but I know I was put on earth for one reason-to create images.
