It was a sad day because he had never cut
his hair and he was very attached to his braid. It was his decision
when to cut it and his sister did the cutting. He said he was

Cherokee History Lesson
Cherokee youth read about
the history of their people as they bicycle the "Trail of Tears."
This youth project took a group of Cherokee youths retracing
the trail on bicycles. The journey starting at Cherokee NC and
finished in Tahlequah, OK.
