2007

2nd Southern African-Native American Cultural Exchange Visit
From June 26 to July 8, 2007, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation is hosted an exchange visit of Native American artists and artisans to southern Africa. This is a return visit following a similar visit undertaken by southern African artists and artisans to Santa Fe, in August 2005. My team worked in the stone sculpture village of Tengenenge, Zimbabwe.

The Banff Centre  Indigenous Media & Visual Arts Residency, "Communion and Other Conversations: A Thematic Residency for Indigenous Artists on Christianity and Colonialism, " October 20 to December 5, 2003, Banff, Canada.

Columbus College of Art and Design "21st Century Ceramics in the United States and Canada," October 11 – December 7, 2003, Columbus OH. 21st Century Ceramics offers an extensive survey of the best of current ceramics. This sweeping exhibition will feature 500 distinctive works from 250 of the top professional North American ceramists.

8th Native American Fine Art Invitational, Phoenix, AZ.
Opens February 16, 2002 at the Heard Museum. Eight contemporary artists from across the United States and Canada will participate in the prestigious Native American Fine Art Invitational at the Heard Museum. The Invitational is the only fine art exhibition of its kind for contemporary Native artists.

"The Oklahoma Project"
Choreographer Loretta Livingston has ben invited to create a new dance work for the University of Central Oklahoma Dance Program by Director of Dance Jamie Jacobson. Ms. Jacobson has received the prestigious National College Choreography Initiative Grant award for the state of Oklahoma for this project. This is a one-per-State-in-the-Union millennium grant award from the National Endowment for the Arts and Dance/USA, with additional support from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.

Loretta will be collaborating with Oklahoma composer Steve McLinn and Native American visual artist Anita Fields, from the Osage Tribe. The work will be completed by February 2002 and performed in Oklahoma in late March 2002.
